National Certificate 2 and 3 in Training and Assessment
National Certificate 2 in Training and Assessment (NC2)
This
qualification is suitable for people who are responsible for conducting
workplace training, and was previously referred to as the Training of
the Trainer.
This Certificate 2 covers three
competencies and meets the PNG National Training Council's requirements
for registration as an 'Instructor'.
This qualification has 3 unit of competencies.
- NC2TRAASS20222B Assess competence
- NC2TRAFAC20322B Facilitate group-based learning
- NC2TRAFAC20122B Facilitate individual learning
To enroll in this qualification you can download an enrollment application, complete the form and submit it to a student services officer at the IEA College of TAFE Ela Beach along with evidence (bank receipt) of payment of the tuition fee.
The Next NC2 workshop is yet to be scheduled.

National Certificate 3 in Training and Assessment (NC3)
The Certificate 3 covers an additional five units of competency and meets the PNG National Training Council's requirements for registration as a 'Trainer and Assessor'. It replaces the TAE Certificate IV as the required qualification for trainer registration with the PNG National Training Council.
This qualification has 5 unit of competencies.

- NC3TRADES30422B Design and develop assessment tools
- NC3TRADES30522B Design and develop learning resources
To enroll, you can download and complete an enrolment application form and submit it to one of our student services officer at the IEA College of TAFE Ela Beach campus, along with evidence of completion (Certificate) of the NC2 in training and assessment, and that the tuition fee has been deposited into the College bank account.
Fees cover all course materials, enrollment in the eLearning platform, graduation and lunch.
National Certificate 3 Course is delivered in two week-long workshops with 3-5 weeks between each workshop.

Monday to Friday 8:30am - 4:00pm
